Welcome to Blooter

Blooter is a marketing and promotional facility for anybody with a talent or an interest in music.

We give artists the chance to sell their material at prices that they decide. Many artists choose to  allow their material to be distributed for no charge at all, but many don't. We give that flexibility of choice to our members.

We also offer our artists the chance to be represented by online Blooter Agents, in order to help promote them on and off the web. We pay our Agents commission to perform. This commission is based on sales, which gives the Agent the motivation needed to provide a good service on behalf of his/her artists.

We also provide our Artists with EP and album upload facilities, as well as standard track/video upload functions.

Blooter offers a good alternative to hosting and maintaining a costly website.

Blooter is not a traditional record company nor are we a subsidiary of a large corporate body. We are completely Independent. We offer musicians the opportunity to make the most of their talents, and also provide an alternative to a contract.

We are always looking to improve and welcome suggestions from all of our members.

In order to provide the best possible security for artists wishing to sell their material, we have introduced a sampling process that all artists must go through. This is only done because there are no guarantees that material can be completely protected using the simple 'stream and then buy' method, used by many other music sites.

Providing a sample and also uploading a full copy (which is stored on our server), is currently the strongest method of defence against unauthorised copying.

Blooter will gladly provide the samples if you are unable to. We receive notification of all new tracks uploaded, and then upload samples where necessary.

However, artists are encouraged to provide their own samples if possible. You know your music better than we do!

Although this process may be relatively time consuming, it has been done in order to protect artists' interests. That is our priority.
